Felt Packs Part 2!

I managed to get the other 2 new felt packs up onto my Etsy shop today which you can now check out.

Naturals Felt Pack

Darks Felt Pack

I sold one of the pastel packs during the night which was very exciting!

If you're from the UK and prefer shopping in pounds £'s you can pick and mix whatever colours you want (out of the 50 colours I stock of course!) over at the Titchables website!

Etsy Update!

I'm gradually adding some of my craft supplies to the Titchables Etsy Shop. Today I added some new felt bundles that won't be available at Titchables.co.uk, mostly because you can pick and choose which felt squares you want there. :) I decided to put together some themed felt packs with 10 different squares and these are the first three:

Spring Felt Pack - my favourite!

Pastel Felt Pack - lovely soft colours!

Basics Felt Pack featuring 10 standard colours.

Hope you like them. I'll be adding 2 more tomorrow. :) Remember you can pick and choose any colours you want (out of my 50 colour range) at my new website: Titchables.co.uk! (You'll have to excuse the mass pimpage at the moment, I'm really excited about it!).

Today I worked on some new Easter goodies. Looking forward to sewing those up! Gonna spend some time on those tomorrow!

Flower Brooches

I had a bit of a sewing session today. I haven't had a chance to do much sewing what with getting supplies sorted out and working on my website so today made a nice change.

I recently got given some eco felt by my Nan. She's likes to buy me goodies if she see's them. So I thought the red and lilac would be perfect for some pretty flower brooches. I've been wanting to do some flowers for a while, but never got around to it.

I'm so pleased with how these turned out. I had to use my own wool mix felt for the leaves as I only had the two colours in eco felt.

The Red and Lilac brooches are now available at Titchables online shop. Both will soon be on Titchables @ Etsy soon (red now up!).

Craft Room

So remember a while ago I told you about the new shelves I was ordering? Well I've finally taken some pictures! It's still not *quite* where I want everything to be, but I'm getting there.

The top 2 shelves are all my crafty bits as well as handmade goodies in the green and red baskets. The next shelf down are some supplies and my packaging stuff (mailing bags, labels, etc). Next we have lots and LOTS of felt! Then we have my full DMC collection, ribbons (which are very painfully unorganised!), pom pom trim and ric rac. Then the bottom shelf we have magazines, photo albums, craft books, etc.

I'm not sure what happened in this photo. The metal frame seriously does not look that wonky in person, lol! This is actually a kitchen unit that I've had for a while. The ribbon doesn't fit in there quite right, but it's functional for me.

Finally, I put all the deco tape on top of my CD shelving unit for the time being. I actually quite like them there though.

If you check out my flickr and hover over these images, you'll see a more in depth run down of what is what on my shelves. :)

I finished the website!! I've been working for the last 4 hours to get the final delivery (that I received this morning) photographed and uploaded and it's now ready for it's very first customers!!

As well as stocking my handmade plush, brooches, keychains, magnets and fabric buttons, I now stock 50 felt colours (which you can buy individually or as a pack), buttons, findings, ribbons, trims, zips, deco tape and lots of other sewing accessories!! Below are some pictures of what you'll be able to find. I hope you like the new website and I'd love to hear your comments!

Website News!

Well I got my last big supplies order today. Lots of lovely spotty buttons and ribbon for me. Really don't want to sell them if I'm quite honest because they're so pretty, but one must to make back one's investment, yes? I still have one more order to come, but that one is not really serious. That's just a side line that I thought would be fun (a little kawaii) so I can add that at a later date.

I've been working pretty much for the last 6-ish hours getting the website all ready, photos uploaded, shopping carts sorted, etc etc and I think it's finally ready for the world. SO! Check back tomorrow for the big reveal!

I'm really excited about this new venture for Titchables. I'm nervous too, but I really hope that it does well. I've been thinking and working on getting to this point for quite a few months now (even before I started selling on etsy, lol).

I'll also be uploading a few supplies to the Titchables etsy shop as well just so the exposure is there too.

Hope you can come join me tomorrow! :D

Jar o' Buttons!

Every now and then I like to have a wander about the local charity shops, because you never know what you might find. In the very last shop, and at the very last minute I found this glorious giant jar of buttons!

I've often read online of people finding such things and I was practically bouncing in the shop when I found it. Naturally I had to buy it! It was only £3.50, so a definite bargain I think!

I had to give them all a nice long soak in a basin and the muck that came off them was truly disgusting. *shudders*

However, they're now drying off on a towel looking shiny and lovely. I'm going to have a proper rummage through them later, there's some really lovely vintage buttons in all that lot. So exciting!

So my question is, what do you like looking for in charity/thrift stores? And have you ever found something you've really, really wanted?

Moo Cards & Big Delivery!

So here you can see what I did with my Moo cards! I had seen this idea a few times around the net and on etsy product images and thought it was a great idea! Previously I was using clear cellophane bags with a card topper (which I will still use for the buttons), but I think this looks much better.

Close up of the new packaging. :)

And lookie what I got yesterday by the nice courier man!! My big delivery of supplies!!!

I had been waiting ALL DAY for it to turn up and finally at about 3pm the door bell rang! It was so much fun pulling everything out.

All my pretty felt! I'll be selling 50 colours of 9"x9" squares. I spent the better part of yesterday evening sitting on the floor cutting ribbons to length, counting buttons into bags, makingup 9" square bundles, making shade cards and cutting up some 4 1/2" squares bundles too. It all made me realise I am getting too old to be sitting on the floor for long periods of time, OW!

This afternoon, as the sun was out, I took a lot of product shots so tomorrow I'm gonna work on my website some more and get all the photos and product descriptions sorted out.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

The Secret Plan Revealed! (sort of)

So you've heard me yakking on about this "secret plan" for a while. It's finally all coming together so I thought I would announce what it actually is. For a while I've been trawling through the internets trying to find wholesalers so that I can venture into the world of e-commerce in a bigger way! I've really been loving building Titchables up, and I'm so excited about what the next few months bring.

I'm currently working on a website and the etsy shop will be becoming a lot more full over the coming weeks with... FELT! And BUTTONS! RIBBONS! And lots of other lovely fun supplies! I'm SO excited about this, you have no idea!

My big felt delivery should be arriving tomorrow with lots of other goodies. I'll be stocking 50 different colours of wool mix felt in 9"x9" squares - the very same felt I use for my Titchables products!

I'm hoping to launch everything hopefully by next week. I just need to sort out the headaches I'm getting from this whole website business.

I'll also be launching some new designs hopefully at the same time.

Just so this post isn't ALL words, here's some eyecandy of my mail yesterday:

Yes, those are pink mailing bags. Awesome, yes/yes? And my new moo cards! I decided to go a bit simple with the design this time. I'll show you what I'm using them for tomorrow. :)

Some Fun Purchases!

Yesterday I had a little fun shopping with my mama. We had to go into the city for a hospital visit and then we had a nice bonding session in the shops. In the post before we left I got a package from the US containing some new metal button blanks. I was running seriously low after last week's unexpected sales spree!

While in my favourite craft store, I thought I'd see if they had any mini pom poms in stock (they had been out of stock since late November last year!) and finally to my utter delight they had 5 bags on display. I promptly grabbed all of them and headed to the till. Lucky for me the till lady only counted 4 so I got one free (and yes, I did keep very quiet about it!). If you remember, my pom tree xmas decorations really took off last year and I was a bit overwhelmed so my intention this year is to start stocking up on these early. I just hope they are as popular this xmas too. You can never plan too early!

Later on, I wanted to go and check out some dresses for my dad's upcoming wedding just to get an idea of what I wanted to wear and look what I found! It is the cutest t-shit I have EVER SEEN. After much gushing and bouncing by yours truly my mama offered to buy it for me (love you mum!). Nerdy owl, what's not to love?

Special Offer!

As already mentioned, I am winding down the little foray into jewellery making. You can now grab a great bargain at the Titchables Shop! Just head on over to the Rings & Necklaces section, pop 2 items in your cart, purchase and I will refund the cheapest item!

Alternatively, you can buy 1 item, and in the message to seller section, tell me which other item you want for free! :)

Blanket Progress

Thought I'd show you a little update on my big blanket I am currently crocheting. I think I have about 20 more squares left to do then comes the fun part of crocheting it all together.

I'm using a mixture of acrylic and wool yarns and it's got a lovely soft feel to it. I'm actually doing it in colours that match my living room curtains. It's going to be a big snuggle on the couch with the tv on low type of blanket.

I'm so glad I decided to do the borders all in cream, really pulls the whole thing together I think.

Shop Update!

Made some lovely flower bobby pins the other day. I wasn't sure about them at first but after taking their photos and checking out what they look like on the laptop, I really quite like them. There's 4 sets in total (3 sets of 3 and 1 set of 5), the last set will be up at the Titchables shop in the next hour or so.

I had a mad wave of inspiration about an hour ago and manically drew a bunch of new brooch/magnet/keychain designs which I'm gonna work on this weekend.

I'm shifting my attention away from jewellery, it was a fun experiment but I won't be adding any new rings or necklaces to the shop from now on. I will probably have a little sale or special offer on them soon. I have no shame in admitting when something doesn't work - I think it's always best to cut your loses before you end up losing out more, right? Either way, that isn't to take away from what is in the shop now, just that it isn't really for me, y'know?

Finally, my secret plans I've been (probably annoyingly) mentioning lately took a very good turn this week. I've been waiting on some funding, ideas to form and planning A LOT behind the scenes and it's all coming together rather nicely. I'll hopefully have an announcement sometime late next week!

New Products!

These have been in the planning stages for absolutely ages. I wanted to do notebooks ever since the 09 diary covers I made were so successful and I finally got around to sewing these up last night. I'll be adding these to the Titchables shop over the coming days, the orange one is available now!

Another crytic message, but! Things are moving forward with the future I want to take with Titchables. I'm still hesitant to reveal exactly what it is just in case something gets delayed and/or goes wrong, but it's looking as though the next few months and going to be very busy and exciting for me! I still have a huge amount of planning to do, but I'm really excited about what's going on behind the scenes. :)

Also, I recently won a Twitter competition to get my banner displayed on a UK craft site!! I won the top banner and you can check it out here at Handmade Crafts UK. Hopefully this will give my shop some extra exposure over the coming month while it's on display!

Finally, I recently joined a site where you can ask me a question. Can be anything you like and I'll do my best to answer them regularly. Check it out here!

New Goodies!

A few more goodies have been added to the Titchables online shop over the past week or so. I've had a very successful week with new items coming together, selling quite a few bits and my plans are working out very nicely so far. I can't wait to start sharing all my cryptic messages in full with everyone!

Panda's Playing Catch Keychain by Titchables

Mr Panda Keychain by Titchables

Panda Riding A Bike by Titchables

Cute Cupcake Felt Keychain by Titchables

I haven't been feeling well this weekend so I've been doing a lot of crocheting, sitting in front of the tv and drinking lots of tea. But hopefully I'll be re-energised tomorrow and start working on some new plush that I have sketched out. :)

New Blog Design!

Hello hello! Just a quick message to say that the blog has changed design. Hopefully you think it looks nice.

I've been working the past few days on re-designing my logos and packaging so I thought I would celebrate by changing the blog and the Titchables shop around a little bit.

I used to work on websites a few years ago, I've actually found it quite interesting to see how much I remember website coding. It's amazing what you can re-learn quickly when you take the time to just focus. Hope it comes in handy for some future projects I have lined up (that are still secret!).

Finally, just wanted to mention that yesterday was Titchables' most successful day yet. I managed to sell 6 items so thank you very much! It seems the button sets are very popular so this is definitely a line I'm going to keep and expand over the coming few months. :)

Button Eye Candy

I finally received some supplies at the weekend which gave me the opportunity to make some new button sets. I've been sourcing some really cute and lovely fabrics lately to make these with and their definitely a line I want to expand on. They seem to be getting a lot of hearts whenever I add them to etsy which is always a good thing - just hope they end up equalling into a sale. :)

Some of these new sets are available in my shop already. I'll be adding the rest over the next couple of days. :)

I've also been busy the last two days working on a new logo design and packaging labels, etc. I'm really happy with how it's turned out and I'll show you the final design soon. This is all in preparation for my secret project I'm working on - which is still in the very early planning stages, I like mentioning it though because I'm really excited about it!!

Slightly bigger Inspiration Monday today. Too many cute fawn related products! As you can probably tell by doing a quick search of my shop, I do have a serious love of anything deer-y.

I keep sketching some ideas to make my very own fawn plush, but have yet to draw something that I think looks good enough. I'm sure I'll get there in the end with enough patience!

I started a collection last year of porcelain vintage fawns which I hope to make bigger when this seasons sales kick off.
