Today I've spent researching some ideas I have to take Titchables further. If you don't know already, I'm currently out of work and my job search isn't proving very successful so I've been thinking more and more about trying to bring my little internet business to life more and really invest some time and money into it. I've been talking it through with family and they seem to think I should just go for it and they'll support me as much as they can.

So today was just spent looking at various websites, a lot of googling and collecting information. I don't really want to give too much away, because obviously this is just in the "idea" stage at the moment. But I'm excited all the same, and wanted to share this (even though it is a bit cryptic, sorry!).

Busy!

I had a very productive afternoon/evening yesterday. Drew out lots of patterns based on some sketches, cut out lots of felt and got stitching. I managed to make 6 new felty items. I've added a few to the shop already which you can check out by clicking the links underneath the pictures.

Wholesale Order Done!

Look at all those pretties!! This is my giant wholesale order that I got last week - in total, 58 items! I was really amazed and a little frightened when I got the order but by doing a bit each day I've managed to get it done quite quickly. In fact, I am a whole 9 days ahead of schedule!


I sewed up 20 bow brooches. 7 mushroom magnet sets. 2 heart magnet sets. 8 mushroom plush. 9 fabric brooches and made 12 sets of buttons!


There are a few things in missing in my shop due to fulfilling this order but I'll hopefully get fully stocked again by the weekend.


I'm actually excited because I have a lot of inspiration for new items and I have a few sketches of some new plush I want to make and lots of other bits and pieces.

I'll give you the details on the shop stocking my lovelies soon! Just want to wait to make sure everything is a-okay with this order first. :)

Busy busy!

Well hello! I'm in full production mode at the moment because I've just received my very first wholesale order! I'm really excited about getting Titchables into a real shop. The owner order 58 items in total and I have a lot to get on with. The picture shows some of the already-cut-out bits of felty goodness ready to be made into mushroom plush and magnets. I've also been making brooches, heart magnets, buttons and I have lots of mini bow brooches to do. I've got a deadline for 2 weeks time so wish me luck!

I've just about got my new shelves in order, though the light has been very rubbish the past few days in order for me to take a picture which is a pain! I'll try again tomorrow!

I have so many ideas floating around at the moment and barely any time to get a move on with them! I'm also studying part time and looking for a full time job - it's all a bit stressful in Titchables Towers at the mo! Hopefully when I've got this HUGE order out of the way I will be able to breathe a bit.

Hearts for Haiti

A few very kind and generous etsians have set up a shop where other fabulous crafters have donated some of their goods to raise money for Doctors Without Borders who are currently helping in the relief of the Earthquake in Haiti.

I have donated 2 sets of my Heart Puff magnets to the shop and I would love it if you went along and made a purchase (even if it's not my items!). All money made from the items in the shop will go straight to DWB, and all sellers are sending their items for free, worldwide (in most cases).

I do love getting new supplies in the mail! These lovelies will soon be made into an array of jewellery pieces. So much cute!!

Sneak Peek!

Here's a little sneak preview at some of the goodies I've been crafting this week. I got some of the fabric I've been waiting on (which I love!!) and various other bits and bobs. So they'll be some more shop updates coming up in the next few days.


I know you can't see much, but I've made up some seriously cute brooches with imported fabric and felt and made lots of new cover button sets. This time, the sets come in a pack of 5.


I want to keep everything for myself! Seriously.

I have so many projects on the go at the moment, it feels really wonderful. I've never been this inspired in my whole life, it's a lovely feeling.

I'm still in the process of filling up my new shelves. I'm getting there, if going a bit slow, but I want them to look perfect so I only add something to them if I'm sure that's where I want them to go... Don't ask! ha!

Mushroom Plush!

How do you like the new mushroom plush? I am SO excited by how these turned out. I really hope they do well. They look so cute sitting on my new craft shelves (which I still haven't finished sorting yet!).

New Products!

So if you keep up with me via twitter you may have already seen that I've been updating Titchables like a mad woman for the last few days. So I thought it was time that I introduced some of the new products to my blog readers as well.

I love these so much! I've been wanting to make cute rings for a while and I finally found some of these lovely Chrysanthemum cabochons. I seriously want to keep these all for myself, they look SO lovely together. $4 each. Not all colours are added to the site yet.


This is just one of the rings from the "cute/kawaii" range. I'm gonna have fawns, apples, candies, etcetc. Price varies between $3 and $4.50.


I've uploaded two of these so far. Hand sewn needle books for all your pins and needles. Originally I wanted to use my sewing machine for these, but I still can't get to grips with it so I decided to give it an extra boost of handmade. They turned out far better than I was anticipating. $7 each.


Small felt bow brooches. Really like this. They look really cute on your jackets, especially if you pair them up together with contrasting colours. Only $3 each.


Crochet Coffee Cozies. Having developed a love of gingerbread lattes over the holiday season (oh I will miss them!!) I wanted to make some cute cozies. There's a lilac one with a flower at the shop as well. I plan on making more of these.

Organising!

Hi all! Hope you're all having a grand day and a good start to the new year. I've been tinkering about all day. I took LOTS and LOTS of new product shots for the shop, edited all of them, made new banners for the shop AND the blog and also changed the design here to (though a lot of the credit for that goes to Shabby Blogs, lol).

I also decided I desperately need to sort out my crafting space so I ended up purchasing this:

I got it from Argos. It's an extra deep bookshelf and looks really perfect for me. Gonna have a little move around as not only is this my craft room it's also part living room and kitchen. The room also has sloped ceilings so that's working against me too but I'm sure I'll get there eventually.

As I mentioned, I took some new product shots today. Lots of new items are going into the shop over the coming days/week so please keep checking. For the latest updates, you can check out my Twitter with any updates I'm doing at the shop. :)
