They're made with syrup and cinnamon, which surprisingly actually makes them taste like gingerbread. Go figure! It did make the kitchen smell extra Christmassy yesterday!

Baking for Christmas!
Yesterday I had a little baking session. My mum had a lot of leftover icing from the glorious cupcakes she was making so I decided to make some Christmas biscuits. I have to say that I definitely won't be winning any beauty contests with them, but I can assure you they do taste delicious.
They're made with syrup and cinnamon, which surprisingly actually makes them taste like gingerbread. Go figure! It did make the kitchen smell extra Christmassy yesterday!

Mmm, those look yummy. I'm not technically baking for Christmas (my mum is taking care of that, anything I brought would be overkill!) but my birthday is four days after Christmas and I'm making lemon cupcakes with buttercream icing to take to work... :D
