Inspiration Monday!

Hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas! I will do a post talking about mine this week, but first how about some inspiration? Today I went with the theme of organising your stash. There's some lovely craft room eye candy available and here's some of my favourites.

1. Untitled, 2. Spraypainted Metal Basket, 3. Storage, 4. IMG_7870, 5. Close up of fabric organization, 6. craft room, 7. Shelves Full of Things, 8. Studio* Kookii:Kooky, 9. monkey cushion

I'm feeling really antsy about my craft area. I really want to invest in some good shelving soon so I can have everything in one place. I'm sure it would help keep the creative juices flowing if everything was better organised.

Merry Christmas!

I just wanted to wish you all a very merry Christmas. I hope everyone that celebrates has a fantastic day tomorrow! I'm very much hoping for lots of crafty goodies in my gifts! :D I'm sure I'll have plenty to share after.

As an FYI, I have further reduced all Christmas stock at the store, plus some other items have been reduced to clear, so please check out the clearance section!

Love me xx

Baking for Christmas!

Yesterday I had a little baking session. My mum had a lot of leftover icing from the glorious cupcakes she was making so I decided to make some Christmas biscuits. I have to say that I definitely won't be winning any beauty contests with them, but I can assure you they do taste delicious.

They're made with syrup and cinnamon, which surprisingly actually makes them taste like gingerbread. Go figure! It did make the kitchen smell extra Christmassy yesterday!

Anyone else doing some Christmas baking?

Snowflake Garland!

Wow, two finished projects to show you in the same weekend. Go me! I've shown you a sneak of the snowflake's I've been working on, but now I've finished it. I apologise in advance for the super duper crappy photos I've taken of it. I assure you it looks much better in person, lol!

This is what the snowflakes looked like before blocking them. I pinned them to the carpet and spray them with laundry starch to make them stiffer and give them a better shape.

The garland! I really couldn't decide where to put it. I was gonna have it in my bedroom but the colour didn't really "go" so decided to put it up in my little living room in the bay window. (Horrible photo I know!)

Close up of one of the snowflakes. SO glad I decided to use this yarn, it's so pretty!

If you want to make your own snowflakes, you can check out the pattern on Lucy's blog (yes I DO love her patterns!): Attic24

Project finished!

So I have been working on a not so super secret project for a friend for the last two months and I'm excited to finally show you the finished piece (as it has now arrived safely with friend). You may recall I stitched up a bag from a pattern on Lucy's wonderful blog Attic24 a while ago. Well said friend saw it and wanted one for herself so I said I would give it a go.

Now I normally don't agree to such things because to be honest, I am dreadfully slow at doing anything for anybody. This was no exception (oops!) but I was pleased to finally get it done and get it to Singapore before Christmas! So yay me!

The flower is a brooch and is detachable from the bag. That was a little extra something I added. I really love sparkly yarn at the moment, as you can tell!

And now... back to work on my new products for next year! 6 more sleeps!

Button Eye Candy

Hello! Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I had a lovely day yesterday wandering about the shops and the local market. Ended up buying more Christmas parents (even though I declared myself done earlier last week!). But still, I get a great buzz out of giving gifts, rather than receiving. I hope everyone else is getting prepared for the festivities?

I am making progress on my new doll, but I'll show you pix of her tomorrow. It was a bit scary the last few days as there's been bits of her all over the place! I'm having fun doing her up though.

Last week I came across a fabulous tutorial on making crochet snowflakes. I plan on making more to make myself a long garland, but I thought I'd show you the one I've made so far. It was really simple to stitch up. You can grab the pattern over at Lucy's wonderful blog Attic 24.

You should know that I am a big lover of BUTTONS. I have a HUGE unorganised jar of the little things for my crafting projects. I prefer it this way because whenever I need one I get the chance to tip them all on the floor and have a good rummage. Yesterday I thought I'd take some photos for you so you can see how very lovely they all are!

And then Ashlee decided to jump in and make button angels. Or something. ;)

Finally, if you head on over to the Christmas section over at my shop you'll find that as well as free worldwide shipping, all Christmas products have now been reduced!! Go and grab yourself a bargain! (Mr Santa Panda is now only $6!).

Pom Trees

So today I sent off the last of the Pom trees I had in my shop. I really didn't expect them to do as well as they did. I initially sewed up 27 individual trees to sell. I thought I would share some fun facts on how many I actually did end up sewing.

Blue (3 trees) - 4 sets
Green (3 trees) - 3 sets
Pink (3 trees) - 3 sets
Full set (9 trees) - 10 sets
= 120 TREES!!

I hope that everyone who bought a set enjoys them this year (and hopefully for years to come!). If you did buy one, please send me a picture of them on your tree or wherever you've put them!
I shall definitely be doing these again next year, though remind me in June to start sewing them up? Please? It would save a lot of late nights!

Christmas is here!

I have declared it Christmas Time in my house today. I put up all the decorations for my little part of the house. We're doing the main decorations and getting the big, real, tree on Monday! I really wanted to get a mini white tree this year, but didn't get around to it. Hopefully next year! I used to collect Beanie Babies, hence the little ornaments on my tree. I sold a lot of them, but I still hold onto the little jingle beanies.

I also have this little display. I love my little fawns and I must say that my new candle is to die for, it's so scrummy!

I've also added this little lovely in the shop!

Mr Santa Panda

This little lovely has been sat in my to-do pile for about 3 weeks now so last night before going to bed I decided it was his turn to get the titchables treatment while unfinished pom trees looked on...

It ended up taking me 2 hours to stitch because I couldn't figure out the best way to sew his Christmas hat, but I'm glad I took the time because I think he came out great. He's now available to purchase at the shop.

Speaking of pom trees, at the moment I am catching up on orders but I hope to have another batch online by the end of the week. This will be the last lot I'm going to do so if you really do want a set, keep a close eye on my shop or better yet, following me on twitter @titchables as I will update as and when they available. I'm really overwhelmed by how well these little trees have done! Thank you to everyone who bought a set. I hope they're a lovely addition to your holiday tree this year!

If you did buy a set, I would love to see some pictures of them in your home! Either comment or you can send me an email at: titchables@gmail.com :)
